In 1999 we were invited to entertain in some of the Orphanages in Eastern Europe and as a result of that we started what has now become Ohana Children’s Charity (officially registered as a charity in Northern Ireland). That led to many future trips to Romania by our young people, where we built a community church and over the years gave summer camps to hundreds of underprivileged kids.
In recent times we have turned our gaze on Haiti, a fantastic but tragic country. As a group of young people, we sponsor ten wonderful kids from Haiti. Our monthly donation helps feed, clothe and educate them and we have visited the country three times.
We love to see our young people reaching out beyond themselves and getting involved in this type of humanitarian activity.
